The All Blacks are such world cup chokers

Its astonishing how the All Blacks mentally crumble where they are challenged at the highest level of rugby. For a team that is consistently at the top of the world rankings between world cups it never fails to amaze me how they just can't handle the pressure of knock out rugby. In last Sunday's final they were missing crucial kicks at goal and had to rely on dodgy refereeing decisions in order to win the Webb Ellis trophy for the second time. If the  competition had been held in any other country I very much doubt that many of those decisions would have gone the All Blacks way and that France would have won their first world cup. The favourites tag really doesn't sit well with the New Zealanders..

Presidential Election

I hope the electorate will see the light and not vote in Sean Gallagher who has been trying to distance himself from Fianna Fail for the last few weeks. It would be a step backwards for this country if a FF leaning president is voted in and I still don't know what he represents. He is a an unsuccessful businessman with very few achievements worth mentioning, I don't care about his youth work..The guy is a Fianna Fail bag-man, he is dishonest and should not be president as he lacks the integrity that's required for the position. Wake up people!

Ipad 2

Has anybody out there bought the ipad 2? Would you recommend it over a laptop for home use?  I know that the internet browsing capabilities are impressive and that its a beautiful object to hold..but how robust is the ipad2 iOS operating system, has anybody heard of crashes happening? What about viruses - does one need an anti-virus with iOS?

Fold up bikes

I am thinking of getting a fold up bike and have been told that the Brompton’s are simply the best. Are there any Brompton owners out there? I would be interested in your feedback. Does anybody take it on the bus\luas\train with them? Are you allowed? Is it out of the question to leave it on the street locked, irrespective of how good the lock is? Does anybody have any misgivings with the Brompton? They sure are expensive – is it worth the price? I would see it as a long term investment.

They are very soon going to become as ubiquitous as the feature phone, but when is the price going to come down towards €200? Personally I have a Nokia but only use it occasionally as its pre-pay and to use it more often is financially prohibitive. I don’t see the logic in paying over €400 for an iphone and then having to pay massively for data on a pre-pay basis. I don’t want to be locked into a 24 month bill pay arrangement that costs hundreds of euros, I just want to pay up to €250 for the phone, and pay very little after that for data. I suppose it’s just a matter of wait and see..But the apps are just getting better and better by the month to be missing out...When is Apple going to drop the price of its iphone? I read that there may a cheaper model of the iphone coming out next year, does anybody have any more information on this?
